The Children of Saul Memorial Project aims to commemorate the names and fates of more than 100,000 Hungarian Jewish children were who were murdered during the Holocaust.
It was envisaged by a joint initiative of the creators of the Oscar-winning cinema Son of Saul and the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives.
I co-researched archival information on Hungarian deportees from different European countries, with particular focus on children.
Together with colleagues, we assembled the bits and pieces to be able to tell the stories of some of these children and Their families. We also contracted archival items to be lent to the physical exhibit in Budapest.
